If you are looking for a product to add a little body to your hair look at Paul Mitchel or Biolage stuff. This stuff dries like you dumped elmers glue in your hair and set under a heat lamp (which for me is a good thing.)

First to validate the following description I must state that my sister, cousin, best friends wife all work as barbers or hair stylist at seperate salons (haven't had to pay for a haircut in over 10 years) so I have had the opportunity to audition almost every gel or hairspray available in a salon.

Although I prefer American crew for a daily use product, if you are looking for an aggressive product, this is it period. The consistancy prior to application is similar to a white sticky Betty Crocker frosting. I could not imagine trying to work this through dry hair, it immediately starts grabbing even on wet hair. Styling needs to be taken care of rather promptly or additional water on your hands can help slow down the setting process. Because of the hold on this stuff you can use it very sparingly.

Once applied and dried this stuff is unreal. It also does not feel crusty or heavy. There is no brushing this stuff out either, the only way to get this out is with a hot shower. I haven't had any flaking or anything like you get with some gels towards the end of a long day. I used to use a regular gel to get the wet spiked look and then spray on a ton of extra hold hair spray to keep the points on my spikey hair style and this product works 10 times better than that method.
