I really only need to use a little to get the results that I want. I know people believe if they use silicone it will build up on the hair causing it to be dull but like I said this one is very light weight and you only need a small amount applied throughout the hair. Best used when the hair is wet and you are about to set and style the hair.
This by far one of joico's best products.
